Welcome to Wallers Baptist Church. It's not bricks, mortar, wood, glass, pews, or carpet, which makes a church, it is people. Individual people like you and I make up the church, Bride of Christ or the Body of Believers.
When a church is formed and the Body of Believers begins to praise and worship God, it needs to seek out its purpose of existence. Scripture tells us that without a vision we perish. So it is important that we prayerfully seek out the reason, purpose, mission, and vision of what God wants from us, the Church.
God's written Word gives us His vision or mandate. It is very simple and if followed, the souls of man will be affected and won to the Kingdom of God. Internally we are to assemble together for sound teaching, fellowship, communion, and prayer. All of these things are designed to grow us up in our relationship with Jesus Christ and that is our internal focus. However, God has designed the Church to be externally focused.
To become externally focused has three simple or basic parts and if followed under the leadership of the Holy Sprit all things are possible.
First we are to love God: "'And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all you soul, with all your mind, and with all you strength.'" This (is) the first commandment.  (Mark 12:30 NKJV)
Secondly we are to love others: "And the second, like (it, is) this: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no other commandment greater than these."  (Mark 12:31 NKJV)
Lastly we are to serve the world: "And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, 'All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, (even) to the end of the earth.'"  (Matthew 28:18-20 NKJV)
Come and join in this physical and spiritual journey that has an eternal destination.
